Beers to look forward to at this years festival

It’s now only 2 weeks to go till the festival and we thought we are overdue giving you a bit of an idea of some of the beers you can look forward to at Poole Beer Festival….

We always like to support local breweries and this year we are featuring 3 new ones; Big Dig (Winterbourne Kingston), Rude Giant (near Salisbury) and Stone Daisy (near Shaftesbury).

There’s also going to be what might be the last chance to drink Brew Shack beer from cask with Eight Grain Porter & Vienna Oatmeal Stout (both are now nicely vintaged!).

We love special limited edition & one off beers at Poole Beer Festival – it’s one of the things that makes going to a beer festival special. This year we have one off/special/limited edition beers from…

  • Boscombe Brewing
  • Hattie Browns (special dark festival beer in memory of our dear friend Palle Groening)
  • Oakham (a beer celebrating their 30th anniversary)
  • Soa (one off cask special from a brewery that just produces cans)
  • Theakstons / Tiny Rebel collaboration (Chocolate Old Peculiar)
  • Way Outback (a green hopped special beer for the festival)
  • A 12 month vintaged strong dark ale from Dark Star
  • A molasses imperial stout from Three Hills brewery

In addition to this we’ll have nine gluten free beers, twenty Porters & Stouts in total (that’s the most we’ve had!!), newly launched beers including from Burning Sky, Monkey Brewhouse and Wiper & True plus three beers carefully selected and personally sourced from South Wales.

With over 85 cask ales in total plus six special keg beers from local breweries and a fantastic selection of ciders including some from rarely seen local producers it’s shaping up to be a memorable festival and we hope to see you all there.

Tickets are still available at a selection of local pubs and online, all the details are here

Cheers!
